Abstract:

When the Shikon Jewel is shattered into shards that are strewn across the countryside, Inu-Yasha and Kagome must work together to find the pieces, before everyone's worst nightmares are given the power they need to come true.

"Legend becomes reality, girl crosses time to meet boy, and together, they begin an adventure. Kagome was always just a typical Japanese high school girl ... until one day when she's pulled back in time to Japan's ancient past. Through a trick of fate, or maybe reincarnation, Kagome's destiny is linked to a doglike half-demon named Inu-Yasha ... who remembers Kagome's previous incarnation as the woman who killed him ... As it would happen, that same trick of fate ties Kagome's destiny to the mysterious Shikon jewel, the "Jewel of Four Souls," which can fulfill the greatest dreams of any man or monster. When the Shikon jewel is shattered into shards that are strewn across the countryside, Inu-Yasha and Kagome must work together to find the pieces, before everyone's worst nightmares are given the power they need to come true."--Provided by publisher.
