Includes letters dated 1805-1842, to Mrs. Samuel Carter Hall, Lady Anne Barnard, the publishers Bentley and Coburn, Thomas Ditton, Aaron Vail, George Virtue, Lady Charville, and others, including personal news, business proceedings, observations on her writing, and thank-you notes. Also, a page of notes in review of Washington Irving, undated, and a signed engraving of Jane Porter as a Lady Canoness, engraved by J. Thomson from a painting by G. Harlowe and published by Fisher, Son & Co., London, 1834.
