In addition to Jarvis/Ferguson genealogy, about 70 pages are devoted to the village of Aultsville, Ontario, a village that was completely obliterated by the flooding associated with the St. Lawrence Seaway and Power Project, completed in 1958. The Table of Contents includes chapters such as: The Village of Aultsville (on the Grand Trunk, later the Canadian National Rwy, as well as being an international ferry port to the USA); the Jarvis & Shaver General Store (with layout diagrams and interview with Frank Shaver, MP in the Canadian House of Commons); Aultsville, A St.Lawrence Seaway Casualty; and Canal Ships on the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes. The final page lists GPS coordinates for many buildings and features now under water. [JGJ]
