Critical observations on the Historia hepatica, by G.B. Bianchi, the 3d edition of which was published in Geneva in 1725.
The first letter (p. 1-115) is dated "D. Patavio idib. April. MDCCXXVI" at end; the second letter (p. 116-206) is dated "D. Patavio prid. kal. Aprilis MDCCXXVI" at end.
Two letters, dated May-June 1726, exchanged between Giuseppe Pozzi and Giovanni Bianchi ["Janus Paullus Simo Plancus"] on the same subject, are included at the end (p. 299-308) They were made available to the publisher after part of the work had been printed, as explained in "Lectori typographus", p. .
Title page with engraved printer's device, signed Jak. Houbraken, with motto "Placato possum non miser esse Deo."
