Abstract:
Typewritten paper for Fine Arts 5e, 1926. There is a handprinted title page with illustration, reading "Jodocus Badius Ascensius: being the life of a great scholar-printer and harbinger of the Renaissance in France; to which is appended a bibliography of books printed by him at the Praelum Ascensainum. Adapted from the French of Philippe Renouard by Alfred Reginald Allen at Harvard University. An edition of six copies, of which the first is for presentation to George Parker Winship, whose scholarly tutelage has largely enabled the author to extend his knowledge of printers from Gutenberg to Plantin."
