The book talks about John Grisham's early life on the move with his carpenter father - always finding the local library in each new town. His love of baseball and hopes for a career in baseball. His initial lack of success in college unitl he was kicked off of the baseball team, and witnessed a heated debate between a professor and two Vietnam Veterans - turned him into a dedicated student. His feelings about the law, Hollywood, and his business interests make for a very good read. Recommend it to 7 - 12 grade, as well as teachers and parents.
