Dorothy has done an excellent job clarifying the who's who of the early Penrods in western Pennsylvania and surrounding states. This is no easy task, for certain names seem to have been family favorites and were used by siblings and cousins in naming their own children, and some Penrods married into the same families as their siblings. There is still confirming research to be completed, but Mrs Turner has provided a good foundation for that effort.
