Abstract:

Military and personal papers of John Winslow, of Marshfield, Mass., 1726-1769. Winslow was a representative on the Massachusetts General Court and a British colonial military officer. Military papers include correspondence and regiment lists related to Gen. Phillip's British regiment, and include Winslow's military commission in 1745. Personal papers include wills and leases of various family members including Winslow's son Isaac, 1819, and mother Sarah, 1753; a legal oath signed by Winslow in 1768; and documents authorized by Winslow and his in-law, Nathaniel Otis, 1726.
