Johnny Appleseed and his heart of gold, travels the country with his pets, planting appleseeds that create fruitful orchards. Johnny challenges medicine's quack Doc Staywell by bottling healthy apple juice. The apples win and Doc becomes an apple planter, too.

Giant lumberjack Paul Bunyan challenges the hated Panhandle Pete in three logger's trials--log-rolling, arm-wrestling, and hole-digging. Paul wins by digging a hole so big it becomes Niagara Falls.
