Letter, 9 Mar. [1935], from Julia Peterkin, commenting, "your friend Wyman Parker is a charming chap, but he was less amazed at my attitude to negroes than I was at his to Jews. What a strange world this is!"

Also including letter, 16 Mar. 1935, from Josephine Pinckney, Charleston, S.C., identifying the "prime movers" in the organization of the South Carolina Poetry Society as Dubose Heyward, Hervey Allen, John Bennett, Laura M. Bragg, and herself.
