Document Type: Journal / Magazine / Newspaper, Internet Resource
ISSN:1769-7069

The book reviews, however, will all be published in English.
Notes: Pipss.org is an exclusively electronic, international journal of the social sciences, devoted to the armed forces and to military structures in post-Soviet societies. The journal treats their organization, evolution and their relationship with society. By studying these institutions it aims to contribute to an understanding of society and the state.
Pipss is a member of Revues.org and is powered by Lodel.

Power institutions in Post-Soviet societies

Abstract:

This journal is meant to fill a gap in the world of scientific journals devoted to the study of power institutions. Special emphasis will be laid on current research in CIS countries, in order to encourage young researchers who remain isolated both because the spread of scientific findings produced in the Republics from the former USSR remains limited in the West, and because the Humanities and Social Sciences are still relatively ignored by specialists working on military issues.
