Abstract:

Three generations, two bickering sisters, and one motor home. Fasten your seat belts for a wild and unforgettable road trip in this award-winning drama. Tsai Chin heads a distinguished international cast as Lee Lai Yinn, a woman who accepts an invitation to join her two daughters, son-in-law, and granddaughter in America for her seventieth birthday. The Americanized sisters are worlds apart. Ming Yee is an embittered and bossy single mother. Ming Na is a free-spirited writer. Their road trip through the California wilderness is marked by detours and personality clashes that threaten to tear the family apart. It is up to the wise but weary Grandma Lee to end the strife and reunite her estranged daughters.
