The building has a tower, a sign on the building reads: "Owl Cigars now 5 cents." Shows commercial buildings, hotels, churches and apartment buildings. Building elements include cornices, modillions, parapets, arched windows, mansard roofs, towers and turrets. Signs read: Geo. M. Kellogg," "Quality and Excellence Hoffmanettes," "Carl Hoffman Music Co.," "1021 Main Street Holland Shoe Co. High Grade Shoes for Men, Women & Children," "Rogers-Peet Clothing 1024-1026 Walnut St.," "H.L. Pitcher Clothing Co. Fine Things and Furnishings for Men, Boys and Children," "Deardorff Building," "Jacoby Furniture Co." and "Emery Bird Thayer." The Kansas City Post Office and Customs House and the Hotel Victoria are in the distance.
