The book, The Kapampangan Mystique, is an in-depth piece of writing produced by extensive research work. In it, the author has covered almost all facets and aspects of Kapampangan culture and society, leaving almost no stone unturned. So rich is its contents on things one wants to learn about the Kapampangan that, as president of the Academia Ning Amanung Sisuan International, I hereby proudly endorse it for use as a curriculum textbook and as a book for required reading in all schools in the divisions of Pampanga and Tarlac. Likewise, I recommend it to all Kapampangans in all walks of life as a "must have", just so that they would know more about their ethnic identity - something that could redound to their getting back the pride and self esteem they've lost on account of what looks like the marginalization of minorities. Like John Larkin's "The Pampangans", and Nick Joaquin's "The Aquinos of Tarlac", it is an excellent reference material to those engaged in rewriting the history of the Philippines.
Congratulations to the author, Prof. Rudy Ordonez, for a job well-done!

This book is extremely comprehensive and vital to the generations of Kapampangans and should be made available especially to the students of all schools in Pampanga. It should be part of the curriculum in history, if only for the students to learn in a more in-depth way, the roots from which they sprung. It is an easy read, an interesting read, in various moments, a thrilling read.
Professor Ordones should be highly commended for a work so well researched, so well written, and so well done.
