Two films which look at the life and work of author Keri Hulme. In Kai purakau, Keri Hulme discusses her lifestyle in Okarito, her approach to her work and the inspiration she draws from the land and the sea. Includes extracts from her 1985 Booker Prize winning novel, The bone people. Followed by an extract from Hooks and feelers, a film based on one of her short stories, about a mother who accidentally injures her son, and the way this affects the family.
