An interesting look at midwife practices. This autobiographical tale does often venture into soapbox territory. Also, some of the "medical information" is rather biased and, some might say, not entirely accurate. If you're looking for a childbirth book to read, I'd say you can skip this one; if you just want an interesting biography, though, you might give it a try.
