The poem fell out of fashion in the 20th century although even as late as the 1950s tourist guides in the Trossachs were being paid an extra penny a time if they could recite verses of the poem. Now 200 years on Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park in partnership with the Association of Scottish Literary Studies has republished the poem making it available again for the first time in decades." ;
