First: The early content of this book is more about the historical setting that the Wall family.

There are some issues of accuracy with this book. In the Foreword on page 7 it states that William Madison Wall was president of the New South Wales Mission in Australia.  As stated in Journal History 12 Dec 1857, he was actually president of the New South Wales conference (more like a stake, or district not a complete mission).

On page 72 last paragraph, the day Wall's family was driven from their home in Ramus, Illinois, is mistakenly stated as 11 November 1844. The actual event took place a year later on 11 November, 1845 .

In the same paragraph there is an additional misleading sentence. It states that "having just ... crossed the Mississippi River with hundreds of other saints, to return to their home in Council Bluffs . " At that time they did not have a home in Council Bluffs. It was a destination on the western side of Iowa Territory, not the eastern side where the Mississippi flows.

With accuracy issues like the above, it is hard to know what other inaccurate details would need to be researched before the text can be fully trusted.
