Jane Hamilton has a great plot in this book. The characters are well drawn out including a sexed out wife, a sex driven husband and the local celebrity. Reading this book makes  you feel like you are getting a glimpse into a couple's ridiculously crazy personal life with alterior motives and all. My only complaint lies in the author's attempt to make "intelligent characters" out of the local celebrity and her husband. Come on, there are other ways to make your characters seem smart without having them play scrabble in French and cite Shakespeare passages!
