classic leadership   (2009-02-02)

This classic book will be referred to for a long time to come. It's basic purpose is to "mobilize others to want to get extrordinary things done in organizations." (pg. xi) The book presents the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership with descriptions of the concepts and also interesting and often inspiring examples of the concepts in action. The section on "finding your voice" was of interest to me and the admonition to "really listen to others" will also help me to be a better leader. Definitly something to keep on my bookshelf.
