Foliation: Paper, 80; each folio has the same number on both recto and verso; rectos numbered , 2-70, [71-80], contemporary numeration in ink, modern numeration in pencil upper right recto; versos numbered 1-69, [70-80], contemporary numeration in ink, modern numeration in pencil, upper left verso (leaves 70-80 are blank but ruled).
Layout: Written in 3 columns with vertical bounding lines in lead; the smaller column on the left with the number of the transaction, the large central column with a brief description of it, including the name of the counterparts, and the smaller one on the right with the amount of the debt or credit. In certain cases the large central column contains itemized accounts of a transaction within one entry.
Script: Written in a cursive script by multiple hands, probably including that of Lodovico Cassi.
Watermark: Unidentified watermark containing a circle, an oblong human head with a thick neck and pointy nose and a crown.
Binding: Contemporary vellum; heading Compere, no. 107 and letter A with decorative penwork on upper cover; lower cover wraps around upper cover with remnants of leather ties.
Origin: Written in Florence, between 1616 (f. 1v) and 1621 (f. 69r).
