The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, by Washington Irving

The first time I read this book, I was in grade school.  I was spurred on to read the book after watching Disney's animated movie, which I fell in love with immediately.  As a mature adult, I still watch this movie...I cannot resist!

When I went into the school library, I located the book immediately & signed it out.  I must have read 2-3 times until I returned it.  It was hard to stay focused on the read as a grade school-age student, but it was still very thrilling to read.

I love the style of story telling Mr. Irving gives, telling of the story's details in a continuos flowing manner, keeping you enthralled in it as if you were really there in Sleepy Hollow, hearing the bullfrogs repeat, "Ickabod...Ickabod."

One of my all-time special reads, if there ever was any!
