Part 1 documents a 1974 lecture/demonstration given by members of the Copasetic Club (a club created in 1949 in memory of the great tap dancer, Bill "BoJangles" Robinson). The dancers give the history of Time Steps and demonstrate their own versions of classic moves. They perform the Old Soft Shoe along with a number of brilliant and virtuosic solos.
