Abstract:

On April 20, 1999 at Columbine High School in Littleton Colorado, Eric Harris (18) and Dylan Klebold (17) executed a well-planned and vicious assult on their teachers and fellow students by killing 15 students (including themselves and 1 teacher) and injuring many more. In these 2 videos, Dr. William Glasser, an internationally renowned psychiatrist and author of many books addresses various issues related to this crime. In the first video, Dr. Glasser examines the problem of violence in our schools and explains why many of todays students are resorting to violence as a solution to their anger and frustration. In the second video he suggests a way to address the problem that is based on his new, 'Choice Theory' approach to psychology.
