|Notes:||Printed by Bradbury & Evans, Whitefriars, London. -- Dedication "To Elizabeth and Robin ... by your affectionate parent" [Sara Coleridge? Thomas Allsop?]. -- Fair, unmarked copy in contemporary binding in full leather with stamped gold arabesques; damaged spine on v. 2, and numerous names written inside covers of both volumes. -- v. 1 inscribed in tidy ink: "F. H. Smith from his friend H.J. Pye, Election 1861"--Title pages in both vols have parenthetical ink addition "by Thomas Allsop," a close friend of Coleridge's, who was presumably the editor, and possibly the "Parent" in the dedication.
