In a letter to S.S. McClure, 1896 February 11, he attributes his tardy reply to work on his new book. He discusses his tentative plans to complete a life of Christ which he wants to discuss with William Holman Hunt and Frederic Shields, and his decision on a publisher and on accepting Major Pond's world tour offer. He briefly mentions his purchase of Greeba Castle.
The collection also contains an autograph for Isabel Booth, 1928 September 19.
