Abstract:

There are three short letters written in New York, inviting his friend, Margaret Hall, to accompany him to philharmonic concerts (1909, n.d.). One, written from Paris, mentions a painting he has delayed sending because he wanted "a nice French mat for the Descent from the Cross."

The collection includes the photogravure of a young girl's pastel portrait, signed by Fromkes and dated Munich,1904. It was mounted on cardboard (now detached), with a dedication to Lewis Hall, signed by the artist and dated Dec. 25, 1906.
