Abstract:
Chief Assistant Librarian of Congress Verner Clapp discusses various Walt Whitman collections with Charles E. Feinberg, a collector of Whitman materials, and Roy Basler, associate director of the Reference Dept. Mr. Feinberg talks about his own collection of Whitman, collections at other libraries, and his gift of Whitman materials to the Library of Congress. There is also a discussion of various printed editions of the Leaves of grass.
