Abstract:
Verne's foray into juvenile fiction presents the pre-adolescent fantasy of a group of boys from a New Zealand school being marooned on an uninhabited island in the South Pacific. Torn by internal dissension, split apart and then confronted by tremendous danger, the boys must battle for their lives.
