Abstract:

A terminally ill and life-long friend asks John Gray to care for his son, Dorian. Gray takes Dorian into his home and he becomes friends with Gray's daughter Lorelei. Paul's sweetheart, Lorelei's governess, forces him to prove his love by kidnapping Lorelei. With Lorelei, Paul starts to row to Valdez Point but loses his way and washes up near a fishing and sealing village on one of the South Sea Islands. Lorelei grows up a free spirit, thinking she is Paul's daughter. Meanwhile Dorian graduates from college and sets off on a yacht cruise. The ship founders on the rocks and Lorelei saves him. Gray embarks on a search for Dorian and discovers both him and his long-lost daughter. Gray forgives Paul and the youngsters, who have of course fallen in love by this time, marry.
