Abstract:

Lydia Lunch is an American singer, poet, writer, and actress whose career was spawned by the New York No Wave scene. The Boston Phoenix named Lunch "one of the 10 most influential performers of the 90s." This fourteen song musical retrospective from Graz, Austria in 2003 represents the great career of the one-and-only Rochester native, Lydia Lunch. No other artist of the 20th century has fought, forged, punched, and sculpted their own artistic vision in such a uniquely original way. Defying categorization, Lydia Lunch actively has conquered new territories, and has gained international recognition for the innovative quality of her work. This video is proof of her ever-evolving artistic brilliance and portrays the innovative musician to true effect. Musicians featured in the recording of this incredible video include Nels Cline, Norman Westberg, Algis Kyzis, and Vinnie Signorelli. For Lydia Lunch fans new and old, this video won't disappoint.
