Did you know that some books had to be rewritten more than twenty times before they were ready to be published? These are just some f the questions answered and surprises uncovered in this introduction to the making of picture books by Australia's best known children's editor, Anne Bower Ingram. The illustrator, Bob Graham, has had over twelve picture books published in eight different countries. Together Anne and Bob take us into the world of publishing, from the author's first draft, through the editing process, book design and printing to the finished book you see in the bookshop.
