Abstract:

Volume 3 Episode 12 consists of the following titles: Babies Wanted: As more families across America are seeking to adopt, institutions and nurseries are improving their childcare methods and fine tuning adoption screenings. Rockefeller Millions: In the midst of the Great Depression philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Jr. is building Rockefeller Center and maintaining its workforce. Even though the original plans to house the opera may have changed, the building is attracting tenants as well as sightseers. Several John D. Rockefeller, Jr. financed organizations are highlighted. The 49th State?: Since becoming a U.S. territory the Hawaiian Islands have become a strategic military outpost in the Pacific for the United States. U.S. Navy maneuvers are conducted in secret locations, armaments and men have been installed on major islands. With 40% of the islands inhabitants either Japanese, or of Japanese descent, there remains the question of where their loyalties lie. The proposal for statehood has been presented in Washington, D.C.
