This case study focuses on the planning, implementation, and completion of a qualitative study conducted on the historical portrayal of marijuana in The New York Times. The authors share their motives for developing the project, how they selected the data source, how they conducted a content analysis, and finally, provide one example of how to integrate qualitative and quantitative methods.
