Arranged marriages have been a part of India since ancient times and are still in practice today. Many people in the western world believe that in an arranged marriage an Indian girl is married off in her childhood or is forced by her parents to marry a man whom she has never met. That is not what happens today. This documentary will focus on the continuing significant role that the parents play in an Indian marriage. It will also highlight the traditional pageantry of the Indian culture amidst the wave of globalization and modernization.
