Ansel in c. 1880, 1886, c. 1900, c. 1907, and 1939; Ansel as Governor at various functions such as inauguration inside State House; at desk in office; election campaign in Greenville and Georgetown, S.C.; tour of phosphate mining companies along coast including washery and drying shed of Lamb's Mine and unloading rock into drying shed of Central Mining Company and its combination dredge, crushers, and washer; at governors' conferences, and with S.C. delegation to 1914 Democratic Convention. Also images of damage by freshet of 1908 in Columbia, S.C., showing Congaree River bridge and power plant on canal. Other identified persons: Ophelia Anne Speights Ansel and Joseph Gurney Cannon.
