Recounts the career of the steam vessel, Mary D. Hume, which was the oldest registered ship on the Pacific Coast at the time of its retirement in 1978. Derelict and abandoned near the mouth of the Rogue River, near the place where it was built in 1881, an attempt to salvage the vessel was made in 1985, only to end in failure.
