Includes records of the American Psychoanalytic Association pertaining primarily to his role in the development of psychoanalytic training and professional standards, of the International Psycho-Analytical Association relating to the standing of affiliate societies in the international organization, and of other chiefly Chicago-based psychoanalytic organizations. Also includes correspondence, diary, addresses and lectures, articles and other writings, notes, case files, subject files, photographs, and other papers relating to other aspects of Gitelson's career in psychiatry and psychoanalysis.
