Jacob Nicolas Moreau; George Washington; William Augustus Cumberland, Duke of; Robert Napier
|注意：||The French original was published at Paris by the French government in 1756 as a justification of the war with England. In it were included documents captured from the British at Fort Necessity and at Braddock's defeat.
"The journal of Major Washington [March 31-June 27, 1754]": pages 124-173.
"A letter written by Colonel Napier, and sent to General Braddock, by order of the Duke of Cumberland [dated London, Nov. 25, 1754]": pages 202-209. It was this letter which called forth the ironical defence of the Duke of Cumberland, published at London in 1756 under the title: Reasons humbly offered, to prove, that the letter printed at the end of the French Memorial of justification, is a French forgery and falsly ascribed to His R--l H--ss.
