Abstract:

"Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon are four names synonymous with one of the world's all time greatest rock bands, Queen. Formed in London in 1971 Queen enjoyed relative success in their early years in the UK with their first two albums, Queen in 1973 and Queen II in 1974. But it wasn't until the release of Sheer Heart Attack in 1974 and A Night at the Opera in 1975 that the band went on to be a global success. During their illustrious career Queen released 15 studio albums and have sold over an estimated 300 million albums worldwide, making them one of the world's best selling bands of all time. This is the story of the rise of one of the greatest and most iconic rock bands in the world from the very beginning through to the tragic death of Freddie Mercury in 1991. Through classic archive footage of some of their greatest hits and interviews with Brian May and the likes of Paul Gambaccini, their incredible and unique story is now told." -- Container.
