This paper describes a tool that can be used to create customized descriptions of Internet resources. When these descriptions adhere to established standards such as MARC, TEI, and FGDC, they can be collected into databases and searched with a common, easy-to-use interface using the OCLC Spectrum System. The Dublin Core Element Set ("Dublin Core") is used to implement semantic interoperability.

Abstract:

This paper describes a tool that can be used to create customized descriptions of Internet resources.
