Abstract:

Mr. Rogers puts a tea kettle on to boil. While waiting for it to whistle, he says he can't whistle and talks about waiting.

In the NOM, Robert Troll is blowing a whistle. Lady Aberlin, Handyman Negri and Elsie Jean Platypus come out to play ball, but wait while Robert Troll gets a football. Elsie leaves but the others entertain themselves. Daniel lends Robert Troll his only ball. Robert blows his whistle. Lady Aberlin and Handyman come running to play ball. When Mr. Rogers' tea kettle whistles, he pours the boiling water in the sink to show steam. Then he goes to the McFeely's to see a surprise. Mr. Rogers waits on the porch until the surprise is ready. He talks about making faces, snapping fingers, and making noises to pass time while waiting. Mr. McFeely comes out with a steam machine and demonstrates how it works.
