Abstract:

Recalling the story of shipwreck survivor Robinson Crusoe while on an ocean voyage, wealthy yacht owner Steve Drexel bets his friends that he can survive for a year on a remote South Seas island without modern conveniences. Drexel and his dog soon set up an impressive home through the use of various hand-made devices and the training of local animals. When a local woman fleeing an arranged marriage lands on his island, danger is introduced to the otherwise idyllic setting.
