"On the occasion of Mrs. Delany and her Circle, the Center has mounted this floral display in the Entrance Court to celebrate the relationship between Mrs. Delany's representations of botanical subjects and her work with living plants in her own garden. The display, designed by landscape architect Jason Siebenmorgen, consists of a "theater" of plants in three tiers, recalling the "auricula theater" at Delville, Mrs. Delany's home outside Dublin, and a curtain of preserved flowers of species depicted by Mrs. Delany in her collages and embroideries."--P. .
