Abstract:
Gives an overview of Shah Jahan and the Mughals, his wife, and the magnificent garden tomb he built for her. Discusses the Koranic inscriptions on the tomb and presents a symbolic interpretation of the design of the Taj Mahal, proposing it is more than a model of Paradise, that it is a representation of the throne of God on the day of judgement.
