Abstract:

N0ught to 5ive is a series of ten programmes dealing with specific ages and stages of this important period of life. The programme's philosophy is one of positive parenting and is based on recent research to come out of the Children's Issue Centre, University of Otago, and the Ministry of Social Development's SKIP (Strategies with Kids, Information for Parents) programme. SKIP is working with Barnardos to take this philosophy to parents. The 10 episodes run in consecutive order from brand new baby through to almost-5-year-olds who are ready for school. Each episode features two families sharing their stories about everyday life. Includes regular segment from SPARC's Active Movement Advisor Gill Connell.
