Include: correspondence; deeds; bills, receipts, and account books; legal papers, including voluminous probate records; surveys; certificates and diplomas; items of artifactual interest (e.g. wallets). Brooks' broad circle of clients, correspondents, and other contacts included: John Adams; Joseph Brown; Samuel Burr; Jonathan Davis; Josiah Davis; Abiel Heywood; Jonas Heywood; Phineas How; Isaac Hurd, Jr.; William Parkman; John Prescott; Ezra Ripley; Daniel Shattuck; Lemuel Shattuck.

(Cont.) Cyrus Stow; John Thoreau; Elijah Wood; various members of Barrett, Brooks, Davis, Hosmer, Minot, Prescott, and other Concord families. Business records--including materials relating to Concord Mill Dam Co., Middlesex Mutual Fire Insurance Co., Boston, Lexington, and Concord Accommodation Stage, and Union Turnpike--are scattered throughout papers. Series Abel Moore Papers reflects largely on Moore's business activities, which included involvement in Concord Steam Mill Co. Tilly Merrick Papers.
