|All Authors / Contributors:||
Sebastian Brant; Jacob Locher; Josse Badius; Albrecht Dürer
|Notes:||Title in red; below it on t.p. a woodcut captioned "Nauis stultoru[m]" with date 188.8.131.52. in arabic numerals of ca. 1500, and "1495" above it in modern style; below it, 10 verses captioned "Nauis stultifera ad lectorem."
Imprint from colophon and printer's mark (basilisk, shield with Basel symbol, another with N). In LC copy, the date appears to read "M.cccc9vj" but the character between "c" and "v" may have been tampered with (VD 16 has M.cccc.vj; dealer's slip says "incorrectly dated 1406").
Includes 115 woodcuts by Albrecht Dürer and his contemporaries.
Signatures: a-s in alternating eights and fours.
