Abstract:

The collection consists of speeches and lectures delivered by Neighborhood Union officials and volunteers from 1915-1933. Includes an address to the Georgia House of Representatives regarding the passage of a bill that prevented white teachers from teaching in "colored" schools and "colored" teachers teaching in white schools, lynching, and tributes to Lugenia Burns Hope on the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Union. The collection also includes speeches presented at the White Interdenominational School of Missions by non-Union officials.
