Huge, but a classic, and well written

by vleighton (WorldCat user published 2012-03-03) Excellent Permalink

  Westfall's biography of Newton is considered the definitive work on Newton. Beyond that, it is a good read. Yes, it is long, but it is not long and boring. Newton lead an extraordinarily full and varied life, and Westfall captures it in full detail.
